The proposal he had from Olympic last summer he confirmed Terence Davis.
In an interview he gave to “Hoopshype”, the 26-year-old guard revealed that rejected the good offer he had from Greeceto play in the Euroleague and the reason was that he wanted to pursue a contract in NBA and that at this stage he did not want to move with his family away from the US, having a newborn child.
“Few people know this, but I turned down a very good financial offer to play in Greece and in the Euroleague in the summer. I said no because I wanted to get back to the NBA and to do that, I would have to play in the G League“, the American initially stated.
On whether it was a difficult decision:It wasn’t difficult, but it was a tough decision. Whenever there’s money on the table you never want to let it go because you never know what’s going to happen. At the moment I have suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon. So it was a tough decision. You should never make sacrifices and that’s what I try to do. Making sacrifices to stay in a place I believe I belong. I feel like an NBA player. I also did not want to take my family out of the US and have my wife with our newborn child. So, I made the sacrifice for my family and decided to stay in the US».
Terrence Davis started his NBA career in 2019 from the Raptors, playing there for two years. The next two years, i.e. 2021-23, he competed in Kingsfrom whom he was released last summer.
After not finding an NBA contract, the 26-year-old shooting guard signed with the Rip City Remixwho are the subsidiary group of Blazers in the G League.
However, he was very unlucky, as suffered a total rupture of the Achilles tendon and will be out of action for several months. In the time he did play, he averaged 15.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists.
