The decision to close 12 associations of organized fans after it was found that they do not have the relevant operating licenses was taken by the Greek Police.
In the relevant announcement, ELAS underlines that a total of 21 links were inspected in Attica, having several findings and making seizures in them.

On 11-2-2022, police officers of the Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence in the Sports Areas of the Attica Security Directorate, with the assistance of other police forces and in the presence of representatives of the Judicial Authority, conducted investigations in (21) associations of sports clubs in Attica.
During the above inspections, in (3) liaison offices, items were found and confiscated that fall under the Legislation on weapons and on flares and sparklers (bats, poles, smokers, crackers, iron fists).
The temporary heads of the above Associations were arrested and with the case file against them, they were taken to the competent Prosecutor.
In addition, from competent departments of the relevant Police Directorates, checks were carried out regarding the legality of the operation of the above offices and it was found that (12) of them lacked an operating license of the competent Authority and the prescribed procedure was followed.
