They knew Stuttgart, Bochum broke the… curse and gave a gift to Leipzig-Dortmund!

by

Bochum finally smiled against Stuttgart.

In a game that lasted almost three hours due to almost forty minutes of stoppage time, they prevailed 1-0 at home and broke the curse against this opponent. Bero scored the only goal of the match in the 50th minute, sending the ball into the net after a counter attack by the hosts.

In this way, Bochum achieved its first victory after 19 years against Stuttgart, while the previous one was celebrated in 2005, winning 2-0. Since then the Swabians “ran” 11-6-0.

With this result, Stuttgart gave a “gift” to Leipzig, who can overtake them and find themselves in 3rd, as long as they overcome the unstoppable Leverkusen or catch them with a draw, while Dortmund came close to -4.

The match was stopped for about 40 minutes with the match tied at 0-0 after a banner was put up, which blocked exits from some doors, with the referee making the decision to send players and coaches to the dressing room.
