Chrysochoidis: “On February 12, let’s take our children and go to the stadiums”

Speaking to ERT, Mr Chrysochoidis urged parents to take their children and visit their favorite team’s stadium on February 12, in an implicit admission that the government’s fan ban timetable will be strictly adhered to.

“I suggest on February 12 to take our childrenlet’s go and watch, each one of his team, like good sports fans, a match”said the Minister of Citizen Protection.

At the same time, referring to the escalation of violence among minors, the minister expressed his concern, stressing that “it wants very special treatment and it spreads very quickly.”

“I am concerned about the fact that there are thousands, hundreds every day, thousands every month of small criminal acts, which we call “petty crime”. That is, the other one he comes into your house and basically takes your property. The other breaks in, the third steals the wallet. All this is a torture for the citizens every day” he added.

“During my previous term, I saw every day, because there are citizens who do not report such crimes because they believe that the Police will not intervene, the statistics for cases that reached 100 and I constantly saw every day exactly what was happening, trying to provide solutions“, write down.

“We will do our job and I promise you that I will make a great effort so that these criminal elements lead to justice and be done withuh, because it’s organized crime”underlined Mr. Chrysochoidis.
