The legend of the “red and white” was elected a few days after the loss of Giorgos Darivas, who held the position since 1993, with Panagiotis Kelesidis being elected 1st vice-president and Petros Karavitis 2nd. Antonis Glykas remained as general secretary and Thanasis Angelis will be the treasurer of the Association.
The announcement in detail
In a historic meeting held at the privately owned offices of the Olympiakos Veterans Association in Pasalimani, the new president of the Association was elected. Yiannis Gaitatzis was unanimously voted by the members of the Association as the new president and he succeeded the late and iconic George Darivas who held this position since 1993.
At the beginning of the meeting, a minute’s silence was held in honor of the legendary Giorgos Darivas, and then Yiannis Gaitatzis was unanimously elected the new president of the Olympiakos veterans’ association, with Panagiotis Kelesidis as first vice president and Petros Karavitis as second vice president. Antonis Glykas remained as general secretary and Thanasis Angelis will be the treasurer of the Association.
The deputy head coach is Nikos Mariolis, the coach of the Veterans team is Christos Kaltsas, with Babis Stavropoulos as the second coach. The leader of the team will be Nikos Vamvakoulas, health and office manager Giorgos Kottakis and board members Giorgos Kokolakis, Giorgos Vaitsis and Antonis Tzanetoulakos.
The meeting was also attended by the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility of PAE Olympiacos, Nikos Gavalas.
