“KAE PAOK mateco announces the agreement with the American basketball player Cecil Williams, who will strengthen our team’s effort in the Greek league and cup until the end of the 2023-24 season.
Cecil Williams was born on May 28, 1995 in Columbia, Missouri, is 1.98m tall and plays as a forward.
He started basketball at Hickman High School, played two years at Moberly Area Community College, and finished his collegiate career with two seasons at Central Michigan. He graduated in 2018 averaging 14.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 36 games.
He started his professional career with France and Sorgues in the 2018-19 season (13.2 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists in 34 games), while in the 2019-20 season he played in Portugal with Galitos Barreiro (16.8 points , 6.7 rebounds and 3 assists in 22 games).
In the 2020-21 season he played in Zielona Gora and in 52 games in the Polish league and VTB League he had 6.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists, while the following year (2021-22) he played in Romania and with Dinamo Bucarest had 11.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 32 games.
At the start of last season (2022-23) he was in Turkey and Tofas Bursa, with whom he played in 4 BCL games (2 points, 1.2 rebounds) and in 3 matches in the Turkish league (5.6 points and 2 rebound).
He came to Greece and played one game with Apollon Patrons at PAOK Sports Arena and against PAOK mateco where he scored 12 points and returned to Turkey to finish the season with Manisa. Played in 15 league games with 9.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
During this season he played for Fuerza Regia, with which he won the championship in Mexico and in the 4 games he participated in he averaged 7.8 points and 3 rebounds.
