Mladenovic’s dream goal was the first of his career with a header!

by

With buzz beater and a convincing performance in Peristeri, Panathinaikos qualified for the semi-finals of the Betsson Greek Cup, beating Atromitos 2-0,

The “greens” overturned the 2-1 to their detriment from the first match and with the clear victory against Sasha Ilic’s team, secured the “ticket” for the four, where they will face PAOK.

For his team Fatih Terim, however, some circumstances were needed for this qualification to come. In particular, the “clover” qualified with the maiden goal of Ruben Perez in Greece, who found the net for the first time in Greece after 108 matches with the green jersey!

What is even more important about the case is that Filip Mladenovic’s terrible goal, which may have been the second in his tenure at Panathinaikos so far, was, however, the first ever header in his career!

The experienced Serbian left-back counts overall 439 official matcheswith Legia, Lechia Gdansk, Bate Borisov, Cologne, Red Star, Standard Liege, Boracay and the Serbian national team, having scored 31 times.

The buzzer beater against Atromitos, however, was his first header and surely, both he and Panathinaikos’ friends will remember it for its beauty, but also its importance.
