New solution on the axis for Kifissia!
The northern suburbs team, after signing Ivan Milicevic, Andre Teixeira, Dario Kanadzija, Facundo Soloa and Viktoras Klonaridis, announced the loan of the 34-year-old Serbian defensive midfielder, Dusan Jovancicfrom Astana until the end of the season.
The announcement in detail:
“PAE Kifissia announces the acquisition of Dusan Jovancic from Astana, Kazakhstan on loan until the end of the current season.
Dusan Jovancic, who plays as a defensive midfielder, was born on October 19, 1990 in Belgrade and took his first football steps in Obilic. He then played in Slavia Belgrade, Sumandzhia, Zemun, Borac Čačak and Vojvodina.
His impressive performances with Vojvodina (83 appearances with 6 goals and 12 assists) paved the way for a great move to Red Star in 2018. In his two years with the historic Serbian club, he made 68 appearances in the Super Liga, Kup Srbije and Champions League and celebrated winning the title of Champion in both 2018/19 and 2019/20.
Subsequently, he moved to Turkey on behalf of Rizespor. In 2021, he was loaned to Tobol Kostanay, which he helped significantly to win the title of Champion in Kazakhstan and the Super Cup a few months later.
His great contribution to that particular success led the Kazakh club to the decision to buy his rights from Rizespor.
Last season he wore the shirt of Astana, with which he won the Super Cup, having 23 appearances in all competitions and another 10 appearances in 2023/24 in Champions, Europa and Conference League.
