“PAE Kifisia announces the acquisition of Sonatan Diego Menendez, who plays as a winger.
Sonatán Diego Menendez was born on March 5, 1994 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and started his football career at Chacharita Juniors, reaching the club’s first team. The great things he achieved with his hometown club led to a transfer to Sevilla in 2012.
With Sevilla’s second team he made 56 appearances before returning to Tsacharita Juniors. In 2016 he moved to Tayeres, where he had a busy two years with 31 appearances and 10 goals in Argentina’s Primera Division.
The great things he achieved with Tayeres brought the transfer to Independiente, which spent the amount of 2.4 million to acquire him. He then played, on loan, in Qatar’s Al Rayyan and, again, Tayeres.
In 2021 he was in MLS with Real Salt Lake. In 2022/23 he played for six months at Velez Sarsfield and another six at Newell’s Old Boys, before taking the plane to Greece on behalf of Aris, whose shirt he wore 22 times in the Stoiximan Super League, the Betsson Greek Cup and the Europa Conference League .
