A message for the club’s 116th birthday was sent PAE and KAE Panathinaikos.
The “green” PAE states on its website: “116 years! Today, February 3, celebrates the most glorious club in Greece, our Panathinaikos! On this day, Georgios Kalafatis created the club that glorified our country to the ends of the earth, a team that became known to everyone for its successes, the ethos, the principles it espouses.
“Panathinaikos, which is an idea, is immortal”, as the Patriarch of our Association, Apostolos Nikolaidis, said in one of his speeches.
116 years after the first seed, our Clover is facing new challenges. Competitive, chasing titles in Greece and honors in Europe. Medium and long-term with the Panathenaic State’s long-term plan in Botanikos with the construction of a new modern football field as well as facilities for the sports of the Athletic Club, the Amateur – as we are used to calling it.
All of us, the millions of Panathinaikos fans around the world, want this, in everything special for the club, day to thank from the bottom of our hearts Georgios Kalafatis, the man who gave substance to his dream, creating a way of life : our Panathinaikos! Through the attitude of each of us we must always hold up the green flag with the shamrock, as a sacred duty towards the people who lit the flame of love for the club.
