The Colossus with a 103-80 triumph over AEK Betsson reached their fourth consecutive home win and moved into the top six, marking the highest performance of points in their history in 40 game minutes after being stopped at 103.
The Rhodes team reached three triple-digit scoring performances in the season, the most in the previous 17 years of history in the Stoiximan Basket League. At the same time, the 103 points she had are the 4th highest offensive performance in her history in the professional Championship, but the highest she scored in a 40-minute match.
In his three biggest offensive performances, the Colossus needed either 45 or 50 minutes after scoring 114 points this year against Prometheus in overtime and 100 in regulation on Dec. 9. At the same time, he scored 106 points in the home game of the 2018-19 season with Panionios, but in a match with overtime which, by the way, he lost (106-109). In the regular season he had scored 91 points. Finally, he scored 104 points in the double overtime match against Peristeri bwin, having 80 in 40′.
Kolossos scored its 16th victory with 23+ points but mainly the widest over one of the five teams with the most games in the Stoiximan Basket League (Panathinaikos AKTOR, PAOK mateco, Aris Midea, Olympiacos and AEK Betsson). The previous biggest was that of the 2019-20 season over PAOK mateco (87-66). At the same time, he recorded two top performances for this year’s Championship, since records are…
The 67.5% with which he executed on two-pointers since the previous one was the 62.85% he had in the home game against Apollon Carna. The difference of 31 points he got just before the end, with which he equaled the one with which he preceded two weeks earlier and against Apollo Carna.
Andrew Goudlock scored three top, individual performances by “writing” 26 points, 4 accurate three-pointers and 27 ranking. With his performance in scoring, he even equaled the record of the matches of the two teams in Rhodes, just like Justin Tillman from the side of AEK Betsson. The two Americans tied Trevor Releford’s mark from the 2015-16 match. With his 26 points, Goudlock moved into second place on the all-time 20+ point season list behind Anthony Cowan with six. Justin Tillman did the same during yesterday’s game.
On the same list, Luka Brajkovic reached four 20+ point performances and Kolossos moved into 3rd place on the team list with 12 after surpassing Maroussi who has 11. It was the second time this season that a duo of players from the Rhodes team reached 20+ points, after that with Prometheus for the 10th matchday with Brajkovic and Perantes.
Tyler Polley had his best ranking performance in this year’s Stoiximan Basket League. He had 21 and topped his 19 home game with Prometheus. He thus reached a performance of 20+ in the Greek Championship for the third time since last season, as a PAOK mateco player, he had 23 in the away match of the regular season with Olympiakos and 22 in the home match with Panathinaikos AKTOR. The American forward had 3/6 three-pointers and thus reached and exceeded 50 hits in the category. In 48 games he now counts 52/153 (33.98%).
AEK Betsson, on the other hand, set a series of negative season records:
-*The 103 points conceded by AEK Betsson is a negative season record since the previous one was the 100 points conceded by Prometheus in Patras.
* Her 15 defensive rebounds constitute a negative season record, since before yesterday’s game she had 17 in the matches against Lavrio for the 1st and Maroussi for the 10th game. Overall, this is the fourth lowest performance of the Stoiximan Basket League this year.
*Marked her 8th performance of three or fewer three-pointers on the season, having three that are her own negative record. The previous one was that of the four three-pointers he had away with Lavrio and at home with Olympiakos and Aris. So, in four of her last six games, she stayed under five accurate three-pointers.
*The 31 points with which AEK Betsson found themselves behind in the score, at 1:29 from the end (103-72), is the biggest difference against them in the season. The previous one was the -25 of the match against Prometheus for the 9th matchday.
