AEK: Honored a 100-year-old fan of the team at the OPAP Arena!

In an emotional and symbolic move, the PAE AEK at noon on Thursday.

The association” honor a fan of hers, who was a football player of the “yellow and black” in his teenage years, while he is the same age as the club!

Specifically, Mr. Thrasyvoulos Liogas who turned 100 years old on February 5, was at the OPAP Arena, where he was awarded the anniversary medal of the 100 years of the group!

The announcement of PAE AEK:



“A very moving experience was experienced by Mr. Thrasyvoulos Liogas and his daughters Alexandra and Sophia who visited the OPAP ARENA today. Mr. Liogas, who is a “peer” of AEK, as he turned 100 years old on February 5th, was a football player of our team in his teenage years and remains an ardent fan to this day.

In order to honor this lifelong relationship that the century-old sports fan has with AEK, he was awarded the 100-year anniversary medal by PAE AEK and this award was combined with a tour of the stadium.

The medal was delivered by the hand of the member of the Board of Directors and Director of Public Relations of PAE, Anthis Papakosta, while the reception and the tour were undertaken by the veteran footballers of our team, Ilias Atmatsidis and Lysandros Georgamlis.

Thrasyvoulos Liogas, originally from Epirus, said he was overjoyed and moved by the honor given to him, and shared with us his memories of the years he entered the stadium with Kleanthi Maropoulos and the other great aces of the pre-war era, but also of the his more mature years, when he followed every activity of AEK in the stadiums of Greece.

We wish him health and may he continue for many more years to enjoy his beloved people and AEK”.
