The news about the introduction of the blue card in football has dominated the international media in the last few hours, however the strong reactions caused forced the International Football Council to have second thoughts about the immediate implementation of this particular innovation.
As “Athletic” had revealed on Thursday (8/2), the IFAB had planned to immediately announce its proposal for the introduction of the blue card, which will mean ten minute suspension for the football player who will face it.
However, with a new publication, the prestigious English Media made it known that a decision was finally made announcements will be delayedwhich means they probably exist second thoughts.
We should emphasize that after yesterday’s “Athletic” publication, the FIFA placed on the issue, stating that the introduction of the blue card would not be done immediately in the top competitions, while further discussions on the matter will take place at the annual general assembly of the International Football Council, which will take place on March 2.
The proposed announcement of a trial for ‘blue cards’ and sin bins in professional football has been delayed.
