He stepped on Bayern, escaped to +5 and the terrible Leverkusen came close to the dream!

She proved her superiority in the summit derby with the Bayern Munich and took a very important step in her attempt to win this year’s title Bundesliga the Leverkusen!

Xabi Alonso’s side dominated most of the encounter at the packed BayArena, scoring three times and stifling their opposition’s attack as they celebrated the big win with 3-0thanks to the goals of Stanisic (18′), Grimaldo (50′) and Fribong (90’+5′)!

Thus, she continued her impressive run, taking her 17th victory this year in 21 races and escaping to the +5 from the champions, who experienced their third defeat in this year’s Bundesliga.

Superior from the first minutes of the game, the home team opened the score at 18′when Andrich’s curling cross went through the entire Bayern defence, with (on loan from Bayer Leverkusen) Stanisic to defeat Neuer at close range.

Bayern managed just three final attempts in the entire first half, while it was Leverkusen who found the back of the net again early in the second half (50′). Such and Grimaldo they worked together brilliantly on the right side of the attack, with the latter shooting home to make it 2-0!

Then the guests took possession of the ball, but without actually threatening the opposing goal, with Fribong to put the… icing on the cake of his team’s triumph at 90’+5′scoring in front of an empty net and while Neuer had stepped up to take a corner for the visitors.
