by

Panserraikos and Panathinaikos cross their “swords” today (17:00, Novasports Prime, sport-fm.gr, bwinSPORT FM)in an important matchup for the 22nd matchday of the Stoiximan Super League.

The two teams have very different goals this season, with the home team wanting to clear any danger in the relegation race and the visitors remaining in the hunt for the title waiting, among other things, for any losses resulting from PAOK’s derby with AEK in Tuba.

On the one hand, Panserraikos has shown a very decent face in his return to the big division, as after 21 matches he is in the 8th place of the rating with 23 points, having a record of five wins, eight draws and as many losses. In fact, the neophytes are in pretty good shape having forgotten the word “defeat”. Specifically, Pablo Garcia’s team remains undefeated in the last five league matches and will try to do “damage” to a Big-4 team again after AEK and Aris.

In the competitive part, the Uruguayan coach has not announced an assignment, however he will not have any data at his disposal Pelea and Deligiannidis which are penalized, however normally the Moreira which he faced in the match with Aris. Plus his possible participation Diamondwith the Greek stopper having turned up the pace in the last training sessions overcoming the discomforts he had.

On the other hand, for Panathinaikos, things are clear. The “greens” are coming off a great derby win against Olympiakos at Leoforos with a score of 2-0 remaining in 3rd place and -3 off the top. The “clover” has, among other things, the obligation to maintain its consistency with the so-called “small and medium” teams, keeping itself on track for the championship.

THE Fatih Terimhad the opportunity to work with all his players for the first time, emphasizing tactics, since the first match of his semi-finals is also following Greek Cup Betsson, against PAOK in Toumba next Wednesday (14/2). For this reason he preferred to stay in Athens, the Jedvai, Arao, Cherin in order to take… breaths.

The problems, however, were not lacking once again for the Turkish coach due to his absence Fotis Ioannidis who will race for the derby in Thessaloniki, while Filip Djuricic suffered a bruised calf and will be out again. Instead, there are the returns of Verbits, Sporar and Vagiannidis who have fully recovered from their injuries and are counted as normal.

In the Panathinaikos team are: Dragovski, Lodingin, Lillo, Vaiannidis, Huancar, Ruben, Senkefeld, Zeka, Bacachetas, Sporar, Bernard, Limnios, Mancini, Hugo, Mladenovic, Kotsiras, Geremegev, Palacios, Vilena, Verbic, Akaidin.

In the first round of the championship, Panathinaikos was the one who had triumphed against Panserraikos, with an emphatic 5-0, while in their last meeting in Serres, the Macedonian team had prevailed 1-0 with a goal by Giorgos Georgiadis in the 2010/11 season.
