Kifissia-Volos
The two teams will meet for the first time at the home of Kifissia, after their encounter in the First Round of the championship. The Magnesia team won 2-1 thanks to the goals of Bertolio and Deletic, while Ozegovic scored for the Attica team in his first visit against his old team.
Kostas Bratsos, who was on the Volos bench in their last match, is now on the Kifissia bench and even started his tenure with a win. At the same time, this was also the first away victory in the history of the newly enlightened team in the Super League.
Kostas Bratsos had a total of 69 matches on the Volos bench in three different seasons with a tally of 20 wins, 18 draws and 32 losses.
Volos has never played in the Kaisarian “Mihalis Kritikopoulos” stadium before for any category, while this season they prevailed only against Lamia with 2-1 for the 14th matchday. In ten matches he has one win, four draws and five losses with a goal tally of 7-18.
On the other hand, Kifisia has two home wins, one of which was at Lamia’s stadium over Atromitos with 2-1 and the other over PAS Ioannina in Kaisariani with 4-2.
Panseraikos-Panathinaikos
Panathinaikos in its last three visits to Serres have not scored a goal, but these encounters have taken place over a period of 22 years, with the last of them being in April 2011. Christoph Vazeha is the last Green player to have scored in home of Panserraikos on May 5, 1991, in Panathinaikos’ 3-1 win there.
Since then there have been two clean draws in 1991-92 and 2008-09, but also a 1-0 victory for Panserraikos on 3 April 2011 thanks to a goal by Giorgos Georgiadis.
The most frequent score in the meetings between them is 1-0 with three wins by Panserraikos and four by Panathinaikos, while there are also four draws with 1-1. Stratos Sakellaridis, Oscar Alvares and Christoph Vazeha are the two players of the Greens who have managed to score two goals in the same match, while for the home team Zelidis has managed to score in three consecutive games against Panathinaikos.
The biggest victory of Panathinaikos was recorded in its first visit to the headquarters of Panserraikos, which was on March 20, 1966, when it won 4-0 thanks to the goals of Kamaras, Sakellaridis (2), Papoutsakis. For its part, Panserraikos has two 2-0 wins, in 1966-67 and 1989-90.
Lamia-Asteras Tripoli
Lamia prevailed in their first match against Asteras Tripoli at home and in the five games that followed there were four draws and one victory for the Arcadia team.
A draw is the winner of the two teams’ encounters, as eight of their 16 meetings at both venues have ended without a winner. This happened last year as well, where in two of them not even a goal was scored.
In their last eight games in both venues, only one of the two has scored, or neither, as three of the eight have ended in a goalless draw.
Lamia has not scored in the last two games it hosted Asteras Tripoli, after last season’s 0-0 draw was 2-0 for the Arcadia team. The last game they both scored was on November 21, 2020, when there was a 2-2 draw in Lamia.
Lamia prevailed in the first round match in Tripoli and the last time the Arcadia team lost both matches was in Lamia’s maiden season in the Super League, when they won 3-1 away from home in the first round and with 1-0 at home.
PAOK-AEK
AEK has three consecutive victories in its last matches with PAOK for the championship, home and away, after prevailing in the two games of the two teams last year for the Playoffs and in the First Round of this year’s Stoiximan Super League. In fact, in these three matches, PAOK has not managed to score.
PAOK had won the match between them in Toumba for last season with 2-0 on February 19, 2023 and this is their last victory against the Yellow and Black.
This streak by AEK comes after nine consecutive games without defeat for PAOK in the meetings of the two teams for the championship in both venues.
This will be the 73rd time that the two teams will meet with PAOK at home, with the Thessaloniki team having 33 wins, AEK having won 15 times and 24 of the encounters having ended in a draw.
The first ever match for the First National/Stoiximan Super League was on December 13, 1959 with AEK winning 2-1 in Toumba thanks to two goals by Kostas Nestoridis, while Nicolaidis scored for PAOK.
In those first years, Kostas Nestoridis managed to find the net six times at the Toumba stadium and is thus in first place among the scorers of all times for PAOK’s derbies with AEK. Sarafis, Guerino, Christos Dimopoulos, Vasilakos, Blanco and Vieirinia have four goals each.
The greatest victory of the Thessaloniki team is the 5-0 of the 1982-83 season (11′ Koudas, 50 Costikos, 61′ Chr. Dimopoulos, 70′ Chr. Dimopoulos, 85′ Chr. Dimopoulos). On the other hand, AEK have managed to win 4-0 in Toumba on April 14, 2008 with Papastathopoulos, Blanco, Lymberopoulos and Kalon scoring the goals.
