A better year he would like to have succeeded in final of the 100 meter butterfly, Anna Dununaki as she admitted in her statements after the end of the race. The athlete of Team Future of Bwin, however, emphasized that she was satisfied with her participation in the final and also with the 5th place she won in it.

In detail what Anna Dutunaki stated to ERT: About her race:

I was calmer than yesterday. Still I wanted a better time to be honest. The original goal was to get into the final, I’m glad I did it but because I’ve worked a lot since the beginning of the year, I came with the goal of reaching my individual record.

It’s a good start, I’m happy for fifth place, but when you invest a lot, you expect a lot back. When you go up like that it’s hard to manage the whole situation. It was a decent performance, I thought I could have done more.”

For having fulfilled her goal of qualifying for the final and having to overcome her personal record:

Apply. That was my goal for today. I had said that I would enter this race and think about what I am doing. I will neither look at the others, nor think how far they may go. Let me do the best I can.

I can’t say I did anything wrong, but the race could have gone better. I was quite stressed yesterday and it played a part, I had a lot of weight on me. I was energized by this whole thing. Other than that ok, I’m fifth in the world and that’s good in itself. Because the big goal is the Olympics, that’s why I’m restrained.”
