A message to protect the team, in view of the opening of the stands, was sent to the fans by o PAOK.
Given the very strict provisions of the new law, the “double-header of the north”, who will see his world return to Tuba for the first semi-final of the Cup with Panathinaikos (14/02, 19:30), asked for a lot of attention from the fans, so that the team does not face any new penalty regarding its home.
Analytically:
“The doors of Toumba are finally opening and we want you all by our side, in all the matches. We don’t want our team to ever again experience the ungrateful loneliness in the difficult battles that come in all competitions. The team has stood tall and strong in the closed court period and it is time to take advantage of their great asset, the unique atmosphere of Toumba.
For this to happen we must be partners. The new law provides for immediate punishments by re-closing part or all of the stadium, even for the use of torches in the stands.
Please help us so that we never again have to be deprived of the Toomba buzz, the one that all our opponents want to avoid.
Passion, voice, soul are the only means we can use to help the players in their battle to qualify for another Greek Cup final.
It is forbidden to throw torches, flares, firecrackers, sparklers, fireworks, smoke generators and any generally flammable material on the playing field and in the stands. In case of even one incident, our team will face a penalty of one game behind closed doors. In fact, the penalties are applied to the next game, either domestic or European.
It is forbidden to post banners of a political, religious or ideological nature, with abusive, racist or sexist content.
The gates of the Toumba stadium will open at 17:30 for the best service to the public.
Based on the new measures, no sports fan can enter the stadium without a registered ticket. In case of violation, a fine of 500 euros will be imposed by the Police and the violator will be removed from the stadium. Now children of any age can enter the stadium ONLY with a ticket in their name.
The authorities will also carry out identity checks. In the event that a sports fan is found with a ticket in another name, both the holder and the beneficiary will be fined ten times the value of the respective ticket, both will be banned from the stadiums for six months, while the PAE will be fined closing the door where the violation occurred.
It is the duty of all of us to protect our stadium and make sure we are by the side of the team until the season finale. Anyone who undermines the right of our fans to have access to Toumba will be treated as a provocateur.
It is the sacred duty of all of us not to gift our opponents with an empty Toumba!”
