The “Open Trial” revealed that the Financial police concludes within the week the investigation into the huge illegal betting circuit, which mainly concerned SL2 games, but also SL1, as documented by conversations of those involved, which were monitored and recorded, for months, after an investigation by the sports prosecutor Kostas Spyropoulos.
The director of the Economic Police Dimitris Loukopoulos completes the investigation of the evidence, gathered through recordings of telephone conversations of PAE executives, as well as from raids on homes and offices, where mobile phones, documents and hard drives of the computers of those involved were confiscated.
The “hot” conversations, which allegedly reveal the “resounding” involvement of three PAE executives, were the trigger for Mr. Spyropoulos to give an order to the Economic Police to raid the houses of those involved.
The case file and the conclusion from the Economic Police will then be forwarded to Mr. Spyropoulos to study them and decide on the further procedural moves.
Mr. Spyropoulos, if he deems that the evidence is sufficient, will bring criminal charges, for which – however – he has publicly committed himself.
