“He wanted to… sacrifice Goretzka or Kimmich for Tuchel to get six, but he didn’t convince the Bayern management”

by

The cooperation Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel will soon reach its end, yet it seems that it has long been doomed to failure…

As reported by Athletic, the German coach had significant disagreements with the management over transfers last summer, when he was determined to bring a six-pointer to the Allianz Arena.

However, his first choice was the Declan Ricewhich was considered too expensive, while his next proposal was the João Paliniawhich was priced at 60 million euros by Fulham – also a large amount for the Bavarians, who had already… splurged for Harry Kane.

So Tuchel had proposed to… sacrifice one of them Leon Goretzka or Joshua Kimmich in order to secure the necessary income and proceed with the transfer, which was also not accepted by the Bayern officials.

So the rekordmeister coach… got comfortable with the two midfielders even though he didn’t think they fit together, but he won’t have to for much longer as his days in Munich are numbered…
