With Papanikolaou the 12 of the National Team for the Czech Republic – See Spanoulis’ selections

His first 12th as coach of the National team chose Vasilis Spanoulis.

The Greek technician chose them 12 players who will represent the “blue and white” in the first match for the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers, against the Czech Republic at SEF (23/02, 21:00). Within it is the Kostas Papanikolaouwho underwent treatment on Thursday (22/02) due to calf discomfort, and will withdraw at the last minute.

As for the players who were “cut” from the match, these are the Michalis Lountzis, Lefteris Mantzoukas, Vangelis Zougris and Naz Mitrou-Long. The four players will however remain in the team, as their participation remains open in the next match, on Monday (26/2) in The Hague against Netherlands.
