Opponent PAOK: The profile of Dinamo Zagreb

by

THE Dinamo Zagreb will be his obstacle PAOK in his “16” phase Conference Leaguewith the Croatian team being drawn for the second time this year with a Greek team – as it was previously eliminated by AEK in the Champions League qualifiers in the summer, in two matches that had been overshadowed by the murder of Michalis Katsouris.

The Croatians now have him on the bench Sergey Yakirovichwho had replaced Igor Biskan after the latter’s dismissal last August in the wake of the Union’s ban.

Despite a poor start to the season, Dinamo gradually rose to reach the Conferece knockouts, finishing 2nd in a group with Viktoria Plzen, Astana and Balkan.

In the playoffs he made the big surprise, excluding Betis with a home draw, 1-1, and an away win, 1-0.

At the same time, in the league, the Croatians are trying to make up for lost ground, being 3rd, at -6 from Rijeka and -4 from Hajduk Split, having less matches.

There may have been a weakening of the roster in the summer, but there are still quality footballers such as the international forward Bruno Petkovicthe former PAOK midfielder, Josip Misic and the talented winger, Gabriel Vidovich.

Dinamo has faced the Thessalonians one more time, counting two defeats in the Europa League groups the 2010while he has also faced Olympiakos (1-1-4) and AEK (1-1-2).

In other words, overall, it does not do so well with Greek teams, with the last qualification against a representative of our country dating back to 1977!
