Specifically, the 13 shareholders (including of course Olympiacos-Panathinaikos AKTOR) will receive from 1 million euros per year and the rest 10 million euros they will go to the Euroleague (ie 2 million euros per year).

On the other hand, according to the publication in recent weeks there is also a second scenariowhich has earned more points. This is concerning on a seven-year contract with the Euroleaguebut with the Arabs offering a total of 69 million euros. And this is because, the Dubai team will participate in the first two years exclusively in Eurocup. The first 4 million euros they will go to the second regular tournament of the Euroleague, that is, it will give 2 million annually. From 2026which will “promote” the team from the UAE to the Euroleague, will share the rest 65 million euros to the 13 shareholders for the next five years, again in his form 1 million euros per year.

In the meantime, with the participation of the Dubai team in the Euroleague, the team that is “at risk” of losing its place in the competition is Valencia, as reported in “Mundo Deportivo”. The remaining groups that are not shareholders, that is, Monaco, Virtus Bologna, Alba Berlin, Partizan and Red Star they seem… safe.

Finally, a condition for the UAE team to participate in the Euroleague is its participation in a European competition. She, as everything seems to be, will be the Adriatic league, which in turn will vote on this specific possibility within the next few days. There, the Dubai team will offer annually 1.5 million euros in the organization, while recently the place that will house its headquarters has also been discussed, with the favorite being the Belgrade.
