Panhellenic rifle practice shooting in Ioannina

Last weekend was held at the Ioannina shooting range Panhellenic rifle competition for practical shooting.

More than 80 athletes, both Greek and foreign, participated in this great race which also judged the qualification for participation in the upcoming World Rifle Championship which will take place in August in Finland. Under adverse conditions with rain, wind and cold, the organizers, judges and athletes gave their best.

For the first time in Greece, participants were allowed to compete with semi-automatic rifles something that particularly pleased the shooting community that numbers over ten thousand athletes.

In the category Semi auto open Panhellenic champion was crowned George Potamitis making an amazing appearance, while second was one of the legends of practical shooting, Lazaros Politakis, and third place was taken by Elias Theodosis.

In the category Semi-auto Standard the family Zafirides with his son Sotiris and father Michalis, he took the gold and silver medals respectively, while Giorgos Tsiavos took third place.

In the category Bolt action the debutant but Yannis Kouletsis took the gold, leaving in second place the many times champion Kostas Roumeliotakis and in third place Giorgos Roupakias.

End of the newly created category Contemporary the very experienced Fanis Sifakis putting on a very good performance, he justly won the title, leaving in second place Yannis Topalidis, who after the light canoe also won a medal in the rifle, while Vassilis Spatoulas was ranked third.

We hope in 15 days that it will take place at the same shooting range o Panhellenic practical shooting match with leiocano having the same organizational success and the participants leaving satisfied as yesterday.
