The team for the European Throwing Cup

SEGAS announced on Thursday the National team that will compete in the European Throwing Cup in Leiria, Portugal, March 9-10. The team consists of the top names in throwing, sportsmen and women who next summer will compete for the distinction at the European Open Track and Field Championships in Rome and the Olympic Games in Paris.

The duo of Christos Franzeskakis and Michalis Anastasakis stand out in the hammer throw, the European champion in the javelin, Elina Tzengo, and the permanent Greek champion in the discus throw, Chrysa Anagnostopoulou.

Yannis Kyriazis will make his debut in the winter season in javelin.

The expedition will leave for Portugal on March 8.
