Then, the French center and Papapetrou sent the “clover” to +11 (45-34), with Polley returning “hot” to the court and pushing the visitors to an 8-0 run (45-42), in 18′. However, in the remaining time, Ataman’s players tightened up defensively and with Papapetrou and Mitoglou they closed the first half at +9 (51-42).
With more concentration in defense at the beginning of the second half and with forwards Mitoglou and Kalaitzakis, Panathinaikos AKTOR took control of the match and sent the difference to +17 (62-45), at 23′. From that point on, the game continued at the same fast pace, with Sluka returning exhausted from the bench and … signing the “clover” +21 (79-58), at the end of the third period.
The picture of the match was the same in the fourth quarter, with the “greens” having the reins and escaping to +22 (87-65), at 34′. Naturally, the next few minutes were of a procedural nature, with Ataman’s team taking the final victory 96-73.
