Murg: “We will see the game with Dinamo when the time comes, the game with Aris comes first”

For the game against Dinamo and the lesson PAOK learns: “For sure after the game in Zagreb we were disappointed, we lost 2-0, we had a bad game, but from the very next day we started our preparations for Mars with training in Croatia and we are 100% focused on the game. We don’t have much to learn from the game against Dinamo. She managed her experience on the court very well, she did the simple things on the court much better than us. We for our part didn’t manage to threaten much, nor create a chance, so it was an easy win for them. The gap between games is very short, you can’t introduce new elements to your game, so all we have to do is work on the next game.”

On whether he feels disappointed or angry after the loss to Dynamo: “You can feel both after a game like this. You can feel disappointed because you missed an opportunity to do something more, you can feel angry because you didn’t play well enough. But let’s leave the game in Zagreb, because we have a very important game ahead of us. We do not currently feel anything about Zagreb. We are clearly focused on the all-important game with Mars, let’s focus there. We will see the game against Dinamo when the time comes, because I believe we can turn the situation around in Toumba with our team, but first the game against Aris comes first.”

For the fact that PAOK is at the top: “It’s very nice to be at the top, it’s something we wanted. We know that we have 10 very difficult games ahead of us to stay there, and so do our opponents to overtake us. It’s a great feeling to be at the top and from our side we will work very hard to stay focused and be there at the end.”

On what PAOK must do to remain first: “We have to focus on ourselves and the way we play. We have to put aside the factors that affect us and have an impact on us. We will have to focus on our game and how we will manage to bring it out in the best possible way on the pitch. We will definitely have to work very hard for this, push ourselves all to the highest limits and we will have to enter the pitch with the mindset of giving it our all and giving it our all so that the wins come and we succeed our goal”.

For Mars: “Ares is a good team, we have faced them twice in the season and we have not won. We have a draw and a loss. We know them well. They are in a good mood because they come from qualifying for the final after many years. By definition a difficult game, as I said before we have to push ourselves, react for the game in Zagreb, keep in mind that we didn’t beat them in the previous games. So we need concentration and push ourselves to the maximum for victory to come.”

For the punishment of PAOK behind closed doors: “I have learned that our punishment is for a firecracker. Obviously it’s something that upsets us because we’ve already played two months without people in the stadiums. Obviously games with crowds are better for all of us whether you’re on the pitch or watching on TV. It’s a decision we can’t influence though, so I’d rather not talk about it.”
