Trinidad coach for Levi Garcia: “We are waiting for him for the Nations League matches”

by

THE Levi Garcia after the two awesome goals in victory of AEK in Lamia (0-4) is preparing for another transatlantic trip as Trinidad and Tobago coach Angus Eve awaits him for upcoming national team duties. The country’s group will face Canada on March 23 with the winner advancing to the Copa America.

We are cautiously optimistic about Levi’s condition and hope he is injury free“, the Trinidad and Tobago national coach pointed out to the Newsday website and continued: “As you know, we haven’t played much with Levi lately. And we have other players who are constantly fighting. When he is not injured, Levi is in excellent form with his team and we can only hope that he maintains this level of intensity and match form to have him at our disposal».

As for whether the AEK ace has a guaranteed place in the starting eleven of the national team, Yves pointed out: “Everyone has to fight for their place and if they are in good shape and good pace, which are two different things, they will get a chance to play for their country».

On the fact that several clubs are reluctant to send injured players to the national team, he commented:We are lucky in this, because as a technical team, we have good relations with the medical staffs of all the teams, especially the players who have injury issues. We contact the teams, receive reports and send such reports for the players».

Finally, regarding the return of Juda Garcia (who plays in AEK B) to the national team, he said:We keep in touch with all the players, by talking to them individually, the coaches, and the injured are dealt with by our medical department. We work harmoniously with all clubs».
