Rose: “We will die on the pitch for the Cup – 4th place also on target”

“Passion for sure. Fabiano and Brambetz really did a great job. They are two incredible players. But we all worked together with one goal, the three points.”

“So far we are happy. We unfortunately lost some points that if we had had them we would have been closer to fourth place. Nevertheless, we aim for 4th place. It may be difficult, but not impossible. We also have the Cup which is our main goal. It is the dream of our friends, but also ours. So it’s been a good season so far.”

You left Aris some years ago and even won the cup with Legia, scoring a decisive goal on the way to the final. Now you will play another final with Aris. What are your thoughts?

“It is important to win races, to win titles and I want to feel that here in Thessaloniki with our friends who are fantastic. So I will give my best, on and off the pitch to win this title. The most important in my career. I want to win this title.”

Why do you consider it the most important title of your career? Because of the importance to the team’s history?

“And for that. I also love Greece very much, I like the people here, I like my team, that’s why I want us to succeed”.

You know Panathinaikos Mladenovic well since you played together in Legia last year…

“Yes, we won the title together last year and he, like me, wants to do the cup double. But I want it more. He is a good player. It will be an interesting game but our team is ready for the battle. We will die on the pitch to win this title.”

You’ve said several times that it feels like home. How do you see yourself after 5 years?

“I may end my career in Greece, I may leave. I really feel at home here, I’m happy. I like the energy, I like the people. Not only in Thessaloniki but all over Greece. I’m learning Greek and I’m looking to stay here after my career is over.”
