Vieirania: “We are used to pressure”

Adelino Vieirania analyzed his thoughts on the game against Dinamo Zagreb, the terrible performance of PAOK against the Croatians, but also his own performance.

About whether he believed in qualification: “Knowing how good a team we are and the players we have, I expected that we would qualify. Our game in Zagreb was not one of our best, but I knew we were a better team than Dinamo. We had to react to the results we brought in the two previous games. I think we did that and qualified, which was a response to what we went through in the last two weeks. I am very pleased with the performance we performed and also with the qualification”.

For the fact that PAOK came from bad results: “We are used to pressure and used to play games like this one against Dinamo. We live for these games. Of course, the result in Zagreb was not pleasant. It could be different. Like I said, we knew we were the better team and we should have shown that on the pitch. I think the first half as a picture showed what we could do. I think that everyone who started in the starting line-up, as well as those who entered the game as a substitute, gave 100% of themselves for the qualification. Now we have a few weeks to rest so that we can gather strength and continue with this image in the playoffs.”

For fluctuations in results and feelings: “It is natural in such a long season with so many games that there are ups and downs. The issue is the reaction we should have. With Dinamo we reacted in the best possible way and showed exactly what we can do in such difficult games”.

For the individual records he achieves with the Dikephalos jersey: “I don’t look at the numbers. I am here to help the team whenever the team needs me. It took me and I’m happy with my appearance and the appearance of the team.”
