A different but also interesting experience will be lived by Christian Karebe from the 2 to 10 April 2024.
Specifically, its strategic advisor and ambassador PAE Olympiacos will be part of its jury 24th French-language Film Festival of Greecehaving the opportunity to watch some of the top films of his homeland.
Karebe’s biography, as reported by the Festival:
“Born on December 3, 1970 in New Caledonia, Christian Karembeu began his football career at Nantes in 1990.
As a footballer, Christian Karembeu won important titles including the French Championship with Nantes, 2 Champions Leagues with Real Madrid, as well as an Intercontinental Cup. With Olympiakos he won 2 Greek championships (2002 and 2003). A great distinction is, of course, the World Cup he won with the French National Team in 1998. Two years later he also celebrated the European Championship with the National Team of his country. In 2001, he won the Confederations Cup with France. He has been named “Best Player of the Year” twice for the Oceania region (1995 and 1998).
His relations with Olympiakos did not stop when he left the team in 2004, as he attended the “Fight against Poverty”, which he had organized at “G. Karaiskakis” our team in the 2010-11 season, with Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo. His action does not stop there, since he is a member of the “Champions for Peace” committee, which is based in Monaco. On July 4, 2013, Christian Karembeu returned to Olympiakos, assuming the position of Strategic Advisor to the management, for scouting, international relations and organization issues
In 2011, his biography was published in a book, written by two journalists, entitled Kanak.
The name Karembeu, in the Kanak language, means “angry man”.
