Laporta on Felix-Cancelo: “I think they will stay”

THE Joan Laporta referred to the two footballers who are playing on loan at Barcelona and emphasized his intention to stay after the summer.

The reason for the two namesake Portuguese, Felix and Joao Cancelo, where they play on loan, from Atletico and Manchester City respectively to the Spanish club and in the summer they return to their clubs. The owner of the “Blaugrana” stated that he wishes for them to stay, whether Xavi remains on the bench or not.

The financial situation of the group remains unstable and transfer moves involve difficulties, but their image this year seems to have convinced Laporta that they deserve a place on the roster. On the other hand, it is not clear whether there will be a normal transfer or a new loan.

The situation will depend on the amounts, whether we acquire them by transfer or extend their loans“, emphasized the strong man of the club.

The two footballers have an active role in the team and have exceeded 30 appearances this season. Felix, playing mainly on the left side of the attack, has scored nine goals and five assists, while Cancelo has four in those two categories.
