Having heard comments that go beyond the limit of criticism, after his poor execution in the penalty shootout of the final of the Greek national team against Georgia, the George Giakoumakis sent his own message.
The Greek international spoke of the love he received from his family, wishing everyone who “wished” for him to find the meaning of life as he has done, while he thanked for the messages of support he received.
He emphasized that the reason that upset him the most for the exclusion of our representative group was the promise which he had given four months ago to his wife and children.

“Traveling over 20 hours to return home I never stopped to think that I didn’t keep the promise I made to my wife and children. That is to say, I will come back a winner! A promise I had made 4 months ago! This is also the reason why it broke me the most.
I have received countless wishes in the last 24 hours and I can only wish for these same people that sometime in the near future they will find the meaning of life as I have and receive such hugs and love as I received today, because apparently they did not never until now in their life from their family.
