Manager Cherin: “He is happy at Panathinaikos, the club’s proposal does not come close to our expectations”

For his presence Adam Cherin to Panathinaikos spoke the Slovenian’s manager. In statements he made in “sportklub.n1info.si”pointed out that the international midfielder is happy in the “clover”, while also referring to his future in the team, expressing dissatisfaction with the proposal made for an early renewal.

“Panathinaikos fans value Adam very much, but his status in the team is not what we want. He is one of the lowest paid on the team, especially considering how important he is. We have been offered a new contract but it doesn’t even come close to our expectations. I expected more respect from the club’s management towards Adam, who has no problem signing even for his whole life at Panathinaikos. So much he enjoys the team, the fans, the city, the conditions, but just such terms we cannot accept the terms“, he pointed out, while his contract expires in the summer of 2026.

“I can confirm that some very interesting teams are watching him at the moment. I’m waiting quite a bit after the Euros, but I have to emphasize again that Adam is happy at Panathinaikos. The team has given him a lot, he has improved there, he has learned to the high demands, but based on what I receive from the football market, I am sure that it will not be the last step in his career“, concluded.
