“First of all I am very happy to be back here from my national team. We have many great things ahead of us. Nine big games, for us players, for everyone at the club. And yes, our first game is against PAOK, we know them very well, we have already played against them several times.
We know what their strength is, but we also know where we can “hurt” them. Of course we analyzed them, we have prepared properly and we have to get the three points at home.
We have to be smart in this game above all, because PAOK has many quality players, especially in attack. They are amazing on the counter-attack, so we will definitely have to have the ball, but also be careful when we lose it. To be compact, to create good situations on the field, not to be too “open” in the area, not to have the distances too long.
We definitely worked on this part in the last two training sessions, but it’s something we worked on before these kinds of games, because sometimes it doesn’t matter if you have PAOK, Olympiakos or AEK against you. We have a way of playing, our coach wants us to compete in a certain way and we try to do it.”
