THE AEK places honor plaques of its former footballers on the pedestrian street outside OPAP Arena.

AEK’s update states: “A few days before the AEK History Museum opens its doors to the public at the OPAP Arena, we are proceeding with the construction of the surrounding area of ​​our stadium as another Museum, of a different format, dedicated to those who stood out wearing our team’s shirt in these 100 years of its history so far.
Honorary plaques with the names of AEK’s leading footballers and their achievements in the yellow and black jersey will adorn the pedestrian walkway surrounding the OPAP Arena and the Eagle Square. To be forever etched in the memory of all who come to the stadium to watch matches or to visit the AEK Museum and the Museum of Refugee Hellenism.
The first slabs have started to be installed, along with the renewal of the decoration of the space with the new benches. On the celebration of 100 years of our history on April 13, the whole place will present a renewed, even more beautiful image».
