The Iowa she was the big winner in the informal rematch of last year’s final Women’s NCAAas outshot LSU 94-87 in the quarter-finals and left last year’s champions out of the Final 4.

All eyes were on the two stars of the teams, with Caitlin Clark to get revenge from her Angel Reese. The last one went viral last year when in the final she ostentatiously made an “I don’t see you” gesture (a la John Cena in WWE) and pointed to her finger on which she would soon wear a ring. That match was watched by around 10 million viewers in the US, shattering every record in the history of the league. The Iowa guard, however, got her own revenge this year.

22-year-old Caitlin Clark, who next season will switch to WNBAplayed a great match having 41 points on 9/20 3-pointers, as well as 12 assists, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block. In fact, among the spectators of the match was also Jason Sudeikis, star of “Ted Lasso”, who after a great move by Clark “mimicked” last year’s gesture by Reese. Iowa (1) will face UConn (3) in the Final 4 in Ohio on April 5 and 7, while South Carolina (1) and NC State (3) will meet in the other semifinal.

Reese, also 22, who plays as a forward, had 17 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks before being sent off with five fouls.
