PAOK announced Tsairelis to the women’s volleyball team

PAOK announced the start of the cooperation with Yannis Tsairelis for the technical leadership of the women’s volleyball team.

In detail, the announcement of A.S. PAOK reports:



“PAOK, and the Women’s Volleyball department, announce the start of cooperation with the coach, Yannis Tsairelis, for the 2023-2024 season.

He is a coach with great experience and distinctions in Greek volleyball, both at the national and European level.

He started his coaching career in 2000 from Proteas Kordelios, staying there until 2004. In these four years he won a second place in the Panhellenic Women’s Championship (2003) and a third place in the Panhellenic Women’s Championship (2004).

Then followed Heraklis Gefyras (2004), EOS (2005-2008) and DASO (2008-2011). In fact, in the two years 2008-2010 he was a coach at Klimakio Thessaloniki, and an assistant of the National Youth-Girls National Team, winning in 2009 the bronze medal in the Balkan Girls Championship.

In the 2011-12 season, he was at Forsped of Skopje, with which he won second place in the league, while also being crowned cup winner.

This was followed by a four-year period at MENT (2012-2016) and a four-year period at Aris (2016-2020). In the 2020-21 season, he was at Asclepios Trikala, while a new two-year stint at Aris (2021-23) followed, where he achieved distinctions, both in the development departments and in the women’s team.

Last year’s competitive season was divided into two for him, as in the first half he was on the bench of Panioni, and in the second on the bench of Aris.

Regarding the start of cooperation with PAOK, Yiannis Tsairelis stated on the Association’s official website, acpaok.gr:

“It starts a collaboration with a team that always has high goals. I thank the Administrative Manager of the department, Mr. Konstantinos Amoiridis, for the honor he did me. I hope that with our results during the year we will achieve the goals we have set”.
