The match that opened the 4th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League playouts had plenty of spectacle but no winner, as Panserraikos and OFI remained at 2-2.
The hosts took the lead twice, the Cretans equalized the same number of times Bakitswith both teams remaining at a safe distance from the danger zone.
In the coach’s mind
Formation 4-2-3-1 chose the Pablo Garcia, with Katsikas under the posts and Deligiannidis, Bergström, Avlonitis and Petavrakis in defense. Ouedraogo and Moreira were on the axis, with Tomas, Aleksic and Ward behind Betancourt.
With 4-2-3-1 he also went Traianos Dellaswho chose Christogeorgos in goal and Marinakis, Vouros, Loukaos and Thorarinson in defense.
Bakic-Gagegos defensive midfielders, with Baku, Toral and Riera behind the only promoted, Iseka.
The match
The hosts entered the match more strongly, with Alexic not being able to shoot well from close range in the 4th minute and the Cretans gradually raising their performance, even having disallowed goal with Bakics at 12′.
Four minutes later, Mr Goat impressively saved the terrible shot of Montenegro, with the Serrai finally reaching the 1-0 in the 22nd minute, with Aleksic to place ideally in a foursome with Christogeorgos.
Despite all this, OFI immediately reached the level, with Riera to be overthrown in the area by Deligiannidis and Bakits is defeated in the penalty shootout by Katsikas but scores with the… rebound, for 1-1 in the 27th minute.
The pace remained frenetic, with OFI’s keeper impressively stopping his shot Petavrakis a minute later and Avlonitis to have a wrong header in the corner that followed.
In the 33rd minute, Garcia’s team regained the leadwhen Warda committed a foul from the right and o Betancourt sent the ball into the net with a header!
The last good phase of the first half came in stoppage time, with Katsika blocking Toral’s shot.
The pace continued to be high in the second half, with Tomas shooting wide in the 48th minute and Christogeorgos stopping Aleksic with his foot two minutes later.
Then the hosts gave space, with the Cretans pressing for the equalizer and finding it again with Bakits!
This time, Mosquera won the attack from the left and turned, with the Montenegrin sending the ball over the bar and in with a superb shot for 2-2 in the 75th minute.
The visitors stayed high and looked for the total upset, but the score did not change until the end.
MVP: Rightfully the leader of the race Marko Bakic, who scored both of OFI’s goals and allowed him to leave Serres unscathed. Montenegro even had another goal disallowed before finally scoring… legally.
The… whistle: He had a lot of work Fire, who in the first half immediately canceled Bakic’s goal and then gave Riera a penalty for scoring. There were also many yellow cards, with Moreira avoiding the second one that would have led to his expulsion, in a phase that irritated the Cretans.
