AEK broke out with 100 points against Lavrio!

He broke out on Lavrio and… brought out a few of the broken things of the last days AEK Betsson BC!

Although the team has been plagued in recent days by out-of-competition issues due to players’ abstention from the debt mercy training, “Union”, stood up to the circumstances and crushed with Lavrio was destroyed (100-67), thus celebrating with an extraordinary appearance the 100 year anniversary since the foundation of the club!

The first scorer for the winners was McRae with 17 points and 6 rebounds, with Randle (16p.), Hatzidakis (13p.) and Hall (11p., 5r., 4as.) to follow in performance, while o Kuzminskas hit the triple-double (9p., 10p., 7as.)!

With this victory, AEK went up at 11-14 and in the first place of the playouts, with Lavrio falling to 3rd and 9-16.

One of the best and most productive quarters of this year’s season was held by AEK Betsson BC in the first period on it Lavrio. The visitors opened the score with his basket Castaneda, which was their only lead in the match. And this is because the “Union” completely dominated the floor of the Kleistos of Ano Liosion, building double-digit differences early on.

Thanks to one improbable partial score of 17-0 in less than 3.5 minutes in the middle of the first period, where Randle had 7 points, the “yellow and black” jumped the difference to +17 (23-6), while shortly after, the consecutive baskets by McRae and Agravani, raised the difference at +21 for 31-10 of the period!

At his beginings second quarter, the laurel was able to “gnaw” the difference and reduceat 16 (33-17) in the 13th minute, however, the team of Ilias Zouros put the foot on the “gas” again in the second half of the period, and with polyphony in the attack, once again raised the difference over 20. In fact, with a 9-2 run in the last two minutes, AEK went to the locker room earlier with +27 for the 50-23 halftime!

The scene didn’t change even in the third period, where the home team completely dominated the floor and with their “weapon” excellent shooting percentages, they increased the difference even more! With the trio of Randle, McRae and Kuzminskas doing whatever they want in the front of the floor, the “Union” reached +34 (74-40) in the 28th minute, with Hatzidakis taking action towards the end of the quarter and with six personal points in the last 1:43′, to send the team up to +37 (80-43), with the 3rd period ending with score 80-46!

Somehow, the fourth and final period acquired a procedural character, since the winner of the match had already been decided. Even so, the home team showed no signs of relaxing… On the contrary, they even reached +38 (97-59) for the first time, with the last horn of the match finding the winner AEK with the final 100-67!
