Great win in the framework of 5th matchday of playouts to B group of Super League 2 was taken by Panathinaikos B who beat me 1-0 him Olympiacos B to Rentis and left him in the last place of the standings, while he “caught” Panachaiki with 18 points.
The “greens” had their first chance only in the 4th minute, with Furtado’s terrific dribble, but Koutsidis kicked it for a corner. While, seven minutes later, Athanasakopoulos filled the second post, Dabizas made the aerial volley, but the ball went just wide!
Panathinaikos B continued to control the derby, moving the ball well and closing the spaces, with the next phase being theirs again. When in the 31st minute, from a corner kick, Sardelis shot unmolested from outside the area, but missed.
With the “blocked” Piraeus taking measures from that point onwards, winning some fouls, but unable to threaten except for an individual effort by Argyrios, which ended up being out, in the 35th minute.
In the second half, Olympiakos B continued to struggle to create dangerous phases and look for Ba with some deep balls, but to no avail.
At the same time, not even the “clover” had the same image on a creative level, since Furtado was now being closed better than his opponents and there was a lack of good energy in the attacking third.
In fact, it was the “red and white” who had the best chance to score in the 67th minute. As from Krramida’s filling, Ba made the place from a position inside the right but saw the ball go just wide!
In the end, while everything was looking like… donuts, Panathinaikos B managed to shock its opponent and “hit” just before the end and especially in 87′. With Athanasakopoulos taking the corner from the left and Furtado to score with a header at the far post, scoring his seventh goal of the season and shaping the final 0-1!

In today’s other games of the group, now, the Panachaic got a very important victory against the Egaleowith 1-0 in Agyia, thanks to Zamora’s header in the 16th minute. A victory with which the Achaeans managed to get out of the danger zone of relegation, being at +1 from Juchtas!
At the same time, Mr Diagoras prevailed over the Cretan team with the same score in Rhodes, with… the usual suspect Manias scoring the winning goal for the home team in the 39th minute and putting them up +4 from the “city”. In fact, 11 minutes earlier, Iuchtas had a crossbar in a long shot by Brettios…
