Escaped with a super upset from Peristeri and Kifissia remained in the hunt for the eve!

by

Determined to sell her… tomary at a high price, but also to claim to the end the chances assigned to her to stay in the category is Kifissia!

Putting on a spirited and very good second half, Costa Bratsou’s side overturned the Fearless within four minutes thanks to the goals of Schneiderlan (64′) and Crisis (68′)leaving me huge double… stay from Peristeri (1-2), as part of the 5th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League playouts!

With this three points, the Northern Suburbs team rose to 28 points, -1 from Volos and -2 from Panaitolikos, two “turns” before the final of the championship, with PAS Ioannina from the side of being relegated and mathematically…

Let’s remember that Kifissia lags in a possible tie with both Panaitolikos and Volos, which means that in the matches with PAS Ioannina (home) and Panserraikos (away) he will have to overcome the score difference from at least one of his opponents in the battle of the eve.

In the coach’s mind:

THE Sasha Ilyich lined up the Fearless with 4-2-3-1 system. Marchezani found himself under the goal, with Trimmatis, Acevedo, Tzavella and Athanasiou in the defensive four. Ender and Kunte were found in the axis positions, with Valencia, Kamara and Vraka making up the midfield trio, behind the only promoted, Andzielski.

On the other hand, Mr Kostas Bratsos chose 4-2-3-1 for Kifissia. Nikopolidis was found under the posts, who due to a virus that was bothering Anagnostopoulos, made his debut in the championship. Tsanandzia, Tsapan, Vafeas and Milicevic started in the defensive four, with Soloa and Sneijderlan moving in the axis area. Crisjuma and Menendez started on the two wings, with Pritsa moving behind the forward, Ozegovic.

The match:

The first minutes of the match were recognizable, with both teams entering the game somewhat sluggishly, with the Fearless to have a chatty possession of the ball, and the de Kifissia to take a…waiting stance, pressing into the center zone for a steal and a possible counter.

The first quarter of the match passed without anything remarkable, with aseveral battles in the midfield area, but also with many mistakes, mainly on the part of guests. After all, it came from such a mistake the goal of Atromitos in the 16th minute, when after a careless parallel pass by Tsapan to Vafeas, o Agibu Kamara stole the ball, he left alone in the “clearing” and with nice dug-out spot beat Nicopolidis for 1-0, in the very first phase of the match!

Atromitos-Kifisia:

After this development, the team of Costa Bratsos was “forced” to change its tactics, to raise her lines and intensity. Which he temporarily managed, threatening twice in a matter of seconds in the 23rd minute, initially with Pritsa’s shot stopping in defenders’ bodies and then with Ozegovic’s very misdirected header between the two stoppers. Since then, the hosts have had him absolute control of the matchclaiming 60% of the ball in the first 45 minutes.

At 34′, Atromitos had one great double chance with Andzielski and Kunde, while in the 42nd minute, the Polish forward’s difficult aerial shot at the second post went wide. A minute later, Mr Nikopolidis pulled out with a great operation Andrzejski’s clever shot in his closed corner, while, seconds after Kunde’s place, he found a defender. In the second minute of stoppage time, Peristeriotes threatened again, with Vrakas’ fine action from the left stopping in the bodies and Kamaras in the development of the phase chaffing from a vantage point.

Atromitos-Kifisia:

The scene was different in second half, where Kifisia came out determined to press and look for the goal that will put them back in contention for the match. The first phase in the replay, however, belonged to Atromitos, with Cut out in 51′ to steal behind the center and attempt from that point to hang Nikopolidis who was away from home, with the shot going many meters out anyway!

In the 53rd minute, it was the visitors’ turn to threaten with his shot Slot for Marchezani to block, while three minutes later, his foul Milicevic said the Italian keeper firmly. As time ticked on, Kifisia increased their pressure, having his long shot Soloa in the 60th minute, but also Milicevic’s dangerous cross-shot three minutes later.

Finally, the competitive rise of the guests in the second half it paid off in the 64th minute of the match, when after a foul by Pritsa from the left near the corner point, the Schneiderlan he threw himself into the “heart” of the area and won the match with a nailed header tied for 1-1!

With the momentum and the psychology at the height, the team of Costa Bratsos continued to play at a high tempo, at the time when Atromitos seemed “numb” with the turn the match took. In the 68th minute, Kifisia found a second goal, when after a nice cross from Klonaridis from the right, the Crisis with a very difficult header he sent the ball into the net for her total upset (1-2)! In fact, in the goal phase, both the scorer and Acevedo, who was defending, were injured, as a result of which they left the match with a forced substitution shortly after.

From that point on, the game acquired a wild beauty, with the ball going up and down, while there was no lack of nerves, hard markings, but also… yellow cards. In the 82nd minute, the Northern Suburbs team came close to a third goal, with Marchezani Bifuma’s tete-a-tete is impressive! In the 88th minute, Milicevic’s long shot did not trouble the home team, while in the “caps”, Orbay, on the other hand, touched the equalizer with a projection at the second post.

In the second minute of stoppage time, Kifisia arrived a… breather from 3-1 in order to “lock” the three points, with Marchezani saying another huge “no” to a tête-à-tête by Bifuma, who in the development of the phase sent the ball… hopelessly out from an excellent position. Indicative of the image of the second half is that the guests had 11 finals (7 on target) in contrast to the 5 (1 on target) of the Pigeons!

The… whistle: Aristidis Vatsios had to manage a difficult match with quite strong marks throughout the match, but also with enough intensity in the finale. It is indicative that he issued 9 yellow cards (6 in Kifissia) to football players, but also three more – among them a red to Kasnaferis – on the benches of the two teams. The assistants lost some phases as offsides in attacks by Atromitos, while, Vatsios himself was checked for the phase in the 14th minute where Athanasiou fouled Ozegovic who stole and left by surprise, with the referee not punishing him with a yellow card.

MVP: Pritsas and Krisiouma are claiming the award for the most valuable player of the match, as is of course Milicevic who helped significantly in defense and attack. Due to the winning goal, we will give the title to Krisyuma.

The match lineups:

Fearless (Sasha Ilitch): Marchezani – Trimmatis, Acevedo, Tzavellas, Athanasiou – Ender, Kunte – Valencia, Kamara, Vrakas (61′ Orbay) – Andzielski (61′ Vergos).

Kifissia (Kostas Bratsos): Nikopolidis – Tsanatzia (58′ Bifuma), Tsapan, Vafeas, Milicevic – Soloa, Schneiderlan – Menendes (46′ Klonaridis), Pritsas, Krisiouma – Ozegovic.
