A speed race that took place in Sri Lanka on Sunday (21/04) afternoon was stained with… blood.
And that’s because one of the cars participating in the race that took place in the city of Diyatalawa ran off the track and crashed into a crowd of people, killing seven people and injuring 20 others!

According to the representative of the local police, Nihal Thalduwa, among the dead are four officials of the event, while three of the injured – who were taken to the hospital in the city, which is located about 180 km east of the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo – are in critical condition…

It is worth noting that the race in question was organized by the Sri Lankan army and the country’s Motor Sports Organization, while it was attended by approximately 45,000 spectators.
