The possibility of legal action against Gary Neville and SkySports after the positions of the former for announcing a protest against the refereeing in the match with Nottingham the English team is considering.
Forest claimed they were not awarded three penalties and took to social media platform X minutes after the game to accuse VAR referee Stuart Atwell of being a Luton fan. The veteran back and now commentator for the British network said Forrest’s announcement reminded him of a ‘mafia gang’ and called on the team’s adviser on refereeing, Mark Clattenberg, to resign and distance himself from the club’s official position questioning the integrity of referees.
In the ranks of Nottingham Forest, according to English media, there is strong dissatisfaction with the phrasing used by Neville and that is why they are seriously considering legal action for defamation.
