Real leader: Sluka’s awesome numbers in Panathinaikos’ first two matches with Maccabi

THE Panathinaikos did not finish the first week of the playoffs in OAKA perfectly, after winning only one of the two games against Maccabi. THE Kostas Sloukashowever, had two commanding performances that in no way can be tarnished by a mistake he made at a crucial point in Game 1.

In the first two matches of the series, the 34-year-old guard has 20.5 points with impressive percentages: 85.7% on shots (6/7), 83.3% on 2-pointers (10/12) and 50% on 3-pointers (5/10). At the same time he had 8.5 assists and just 1.5 turnovers, 2.5 rebounds, 1 steal and 25.5 rating per gamewhile his team was at +12 during the time he was on the court.

But perhaps the most impressive element is the following: Sloukas scored or created 35 points in the first game and 39 points in the second game. In total, that is 74 points out of a total of 182 points which the “greens” achieved, i.e. the 40.6% of Panathinaikos’ production.

The six-star side are now required to win at least once in Belgrade in the two matches of the Big Week and Kostas Slukas showed he can lead this effort to regain home advantage and advance to the Final 4 in Berlin.
