Karim Benzema has been suffering from many muscle injuries recently, as a result of which he found himself at the training center of Real Madrid to be rehabilitated by the doctor of his former team, in consultation with Al Ittihad.
The Frenchman has been playing since April 20, in his team’s 3-2 victory over Al-Hazm and is now at Valdebebas to be replaced by the doctor he worked with for 14 years before leaving for Saudi Arabia.
“Karim Benzema is undergoing further tests at the Real Madrid clinic with his former doctor in Spain, who oversaw his care in previous years,” Al Ittihad said in a statement. “Consultations have been arranged between the medical teams of Al Ittihad and Real Madrid regarding Benzema’s injuries, which have forced him to miss important games this season. Benzema has already left for Spain and is expected to return next week.
It is worth mentioning that the international French forward has scored 13 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions with the Jeddah team and is committed to Al Ittihad until June 2026.”
