Larisa Iapikino is the 2023 “silver” world indoor champion and is one of the top long athletes in the world and one of the names that will star in the summer at the top open track events, so all eyes were on her at the press conference of the international jumping meeting of Kallithea which will be held at noon on Wednesday at “Grigoris Lambrakis”.
“I am happy to start the season at the show jumping meeting in Greece in a year where the program includes great challenges, such as the European and the Olympic Games”, emphasized the Italian star.
“Top athletes came to the event again this year. It is important for us that athletes trust us. The meeting had a high score last year, which we hope to maintain this year as well”, stressed the president of FS Kallithea, Panagiotis Dimakos.
For his part, the Mayor of Kallithea, Kostas Askounis, said: “We support this effort and contribute with all our strength as co-organizers, together with FS Kallithea. The jumping meeting gives the sportsmen and women athletes another competitive opportunity, in view of the top competitions. Good luck to everyone”.
The deputy mayor for sports, Giorgos Margomenos, was also present at the press conference, as was the French long jumper, Ervan Conate.
