Dana Savki will compete in Markopoulos next season. The eastern suburbs outfit have announced the signing of the 24-year-old Egyptian passer for next year to bolster their passing game.
Savki was competing in her hometown Zamalek, while she was named the top passer of the African Club Championship 2023/24, which she won with her representative group.
In detail, the announcement:
“We welcome the Egyptian Dana Shawky to the women’s team of AO Markopoulos Revoil! The 24-year-old (2000) Dana is 1.81m tall and plays as a passer. He comes from the Egyptian league and Zamalek, while he was named best passer in the recent African Club Championship 2023/24, which he won.
At the international level, she was named the best passer in Egypt’s jersey at the 2024 African Games!
In her first statements as an athlete of AO Markopoulos, Dana said: “As an Egyptian athlete I always dreamed of such an opportunity and now that it is happening I am grateful that AO Markopoulos gave it to me. And all this is accompanied by my excitement that I will compete in the Greek championship next to some of the top female athletes. I hope as a team we fulfill our destiny to glory!”
