“The thought had been in my mind for months and lately it had become final in me.
But I never imagined how hard it is to say goodbye. How difficult it is to put an end to, essentially, an entire life.
In so many memories.
In dreams that came true. I leave football full.
I gained respect, appreciation, friends. I tried myself. I was happy, I cried, I was sad, I was disappointed.
The most important thing is that little Kostas grew up and became a better person thanks to football. I became a father and had the pleasure of my children watching me compete.
My football journey has had different stops that each taught me something. Every team, every city they lived for me became my “home”.
I tied and fought for each of them. Through my good and bad times I tried to be fair, honest and a fighter, values ​​I got from my family.
I don’t know what life will be like after football, but what I do know is that football for me, along with my family, will be the greatest gift that life has given me and I will be eternally grateful for that!
