The new season at Olympiakos is also on Mendiliber’s mind

Olympiakos fans may already have their minds set on the Conference League final, however Mendiliber he has already started thinking about the future. The Basque coach is of course already making his plans for the derby with Panathinaikos in the last game of this year’s championship and also the big match with Fiorentina at Opap Arena, however he cannot help but already make some plans for the future as well.

This was clearly seen from his statements yesterday ahead of the derby with the greens in which he referred to the… future. Medilibar knows that it has to slowly prepare the new Olympiakos and has started to do so. So he has already talked to the administrators about some first moves for her. Who are they;

First of all, to cut the number of players and to fall to 23-24 footballers, on whom Vaskos will be able to count. At the moment, Olympiacos and Medilibar have 28 football players to manage from whom Vaskos has shown based his choices on whom he believes for the future. Among them there are players whose contracts or their cooperation with the team are expiring and Madrid would like them in the future as well, like Pontense as well as players who are under contract but seem not to have convinced Vasco.

Immediately after the final of the Conference League, it is expected that there will be other discussions between Mendiliber and Vangelis Marinakis and his associates to start the developments with the release of players that Vaskos does not want and also to determine the transfer targets.
